#login2019 innovation conference in Vilnius - one of my favourite events I come back every year for new ideas, inspiration and meeting trend setters. This year most interested to hear whistleblower Christopher Wylie and former Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves. By the way, still remember @aral speech about UX in 2011 at Vilnius 🤩🇱🇹
Two day innovation festival LOGIN 2019 starts this morning at Litexpo – the biggest exhibition and congress venue in Vilnius.

For the first time set up #wordpress on #nginx server as regular HTTP server and not just reverse proxy. Must say I was too much used to #apache 😁 Still, it's difficult to get used to the fact .htaccess is not available - no wonder why Apache HTTPD is so popular and I will definitely continue to use both 🤓

Microsoft apparently still doesn't quite understand the concept of case-sensitivity in filenames & URLs and just changed github.com/Microsoft to github.com/microsoft, in turn breaking a ton of canonical URLs and references.
It's incredible how shortsighted and oblivious a company of that size can be, really 🙄
TIL: #bash provides pseudo devices for TCP and UDP connections:
echo "hello" > /dev/udp/127.0.0.1/1337
echo -e "GET / HTTP/1.0\n" >&5
I'm baffled how I've never discovered that until today.
Suddenly got Adblock Plus or NoScript disabled on Firefox? Got my installations messed up on Android and Linux Mint. Well Mozilla screwed up add-on signing, read more: https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?p=100053#p100053
Still sloppy with git, but finally forked @write_as #WriteFreely and suggested my first pull request 😊 Almost ready to submit my build walkthrough, need few polishing steps though 🙄 https://fedi.dev/gytis/build-writefreely-from-source
As I wrap up standalone accounts on @snap_as, I'm thinking about how to quickly build a minimally viable open source version that can be included in your WriteFreely instance.
Most likely, it'll be a Go library with a few frontend features added to WF for uploading and managing files.
Still, it's early and not entirely thought-out yet, so no guarantees it'll be out soon. Just some thoughts for now.
